Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
